 The question was Grand mother Stephanie has left some inheritance. She has left half her money to her grand daughter and half of that to her grandson. She has left one sixth of her money to her brother. The remaining 1000$, she has left to dog home. What was her total inheritance?  Solution : 12000$ She gave 1/2 money to grand daughter She gave half of that - 1/4 money to grand son She gave 1/6 money to brother The remaining amount is = 1 - 1/2 - 1/4 - 1/6 = 1- 11/12 = 1/12 Remaining money is 1000 1/12 of M = 1000 M = 12000$

 The question was Tortoiseville and Haretown are 55 miles apart. A rabbit is travelling from Haretown to Tortoiseville at a speed of 8 miles per hour. A tortoise is travelling from Tortoiseville to Haretown at a speed of 3 miles per hour. What distance will the rabbit travel before it meets the tortoise?  Solution : 40 miles Let us say after h hours, both hare and tortoise meet.  In h hours hare travels 8h miles In h hours, tortoise travels 3h miles As they both meet, 8h+3h = 55 11h =55.  h = 55/11 = 5 hours After 5 hours they both meet.  In 5 hours, hare has travelled 5x8 miles = 40 miles

 The puzzle was This puzzle is about a birthday. The day before yesterday I was 25. The next year I will be 28. This is true only one day in a year. What day is my Birthday ?   Solution : Jan 1st  I was born on December  31st. So day before yesterday was December 30 and I was 25. Yesterday was my birthday, so I turned 26. This year on my birthday that is 12 months ahead, I will turn 27. And next year, on my birthday I will turn 28.    e.g. If we were talking on  2021 January 1st, day before yesterday was December 30 2020 and I was 25 years old. Yesterday (of Jan 1st) I turned 26 years old that is on 31st december 2020, I turned 26. On 2021 Dec-31st I will be 27 years old.  And on 31st Dec next year - 2022, I will turn 28 years old.
