 The question was

Grand mother Stephanie has left some inheritance. She has left half her money to her grand daughter and half of that to her grandson. She has left one sixth of her money to her brother. The remaining 1000$, she has left to dog home. What was her total inheritance? 

Solution : 12000$

• She gave 1/2 money to grand daughter
• She gave half of that - 1/4 money to grand son
• She gave 1/6 money to brother
• The remaining amount is = 1 - 1/2 - 1/4 - 1/6 = 1- 11/12 = 1/12
• Remaining money is 1000
• 1/12 of M = 1000
• M = 12000$
