Bridge crossing

  A group of 4 people Anil, Bina, Charan and Dhanush are trying to cross a bridge. It is dark and a flashlight is needed to cross the bridge. But they have only one flashlight among them. And only two persons can be on the bridge at a time. Anil needs 10 minutes to cross the bridge, Bina needs 5 minutes, Charan needs 2 minutes and Dhanush needs 1 minute. 

How can all of them cross the bridge in 17 minutes? 

💡 HINT

Use a fast walker to come back with flash light.

• First Charan crosses the bridge with Dhanush. Time taken 2 minutes.
• Now Dhanush comes back with the torch. Time taken 3 minutes .
• Next Anil crosses the bridge with Bina in 10 minues. So far 13 minutes are over.
• Next Charan alone crosses the bridge in 2 minutes. - Total time - 15 minutes.
• And Charan and Dhanush cross the bridge in 2 minutes - 17 minutes.
